Purpose of Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how your Personal Informations are being collected, used and processed by Kolej Kemahiran Johor (hereafter known as KKJ) in accordance with The Personal Data Protection Act 2010, Act 709 (hereafter known as PDPA) and other laws, rules and regulation that is in effect.
The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) came into force on 15 November 2013, therefore KKJ is hereby bound to give notice and require consent regarding the collection, recording, use, transmission and storage of personal information.
This notice may be changed from time to time to protect personal data.
What is Personal Data
Personal data refers to any information that can directly or indirectly identify a person
including sensitive personal data and statements of opinion. Among others it includes: –
- Name;
- Identification Card;
- Date of Birth;
- Birthplace;
- Address;
- Examination Result;
- Education History;
- Employment History;
- Medical History;
- Blood Type;
- Race;
- Religion;
- Picture;
How Do We Collect Data
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you give us through your interaction and/or transaction with us via any medium, forms, methods or way including but not limited to our application form;
- Information we get from your use of our website; and this information includes personal data.
If you choose to interact and/or transact with us whether via this website or in any other medium, forms, methods or ways for enrolment and/or subscription of any of KKJ’s products and services, you may or will be asked to provide your personal data.
Sources of Personal Data
In providing related services, KKJ can obtain personal data from various sources, such as:. Yourself;
From the application submitted to us. By submitting any application to us, you are hereby deemed to have obtained permission for the disclosure of the information in your application.
ii. Third Party;
iii. KKJ’s partners in competitions or surveys or research or programs, etc;
iv. Your participation with other entities;
v. Your guardian, legal representative or guarantor;
vi. There may be a reference to your personal data for a loan application or credit reference;
vii. Educational institution or previous employer;
viii. Website.
Use of Personal Data
In fulfilling our responsibilities to you, your personal data may be used not just limited to purposes as follows:-
i. For evaluation of any application to study at KKJ;
ii. To process for any benefits and services;
iii. For communication purposes;
iv. For advertising and news;
v. For general administrative and record purposes;
vi. To improve the quality of education, training and continuous training;
vii. For educational purposes, training purposes and purposes related to KKJ;
viii. To provide any feedback, answering to complaints and queries;
ix. For the purposes of corporate governance;
x. To be considered as a guarantor for KKJ staff / KKJ students who apply for study loans / scholarships.
Submission of Personal Data
KKJ is under a legal obligation to guarantee and protect personal information including but not limited to personal data before and after the PDPA and it is our existing and ongoing policy to do so.
In order to provide effective services on an ongoing basis, the delivery of certain information needs to be implemented.
Your personal information may be transferred and/or communicated to third parties and/or KKJ partners including but not limited to external agents appointed for the purpose of fulfilling our obligations to you with respect to the above and other purposes related to the above purposes and it includes providing integrated services, maintaining and keeping records.
In caring for welfare and providing services, it is very important to send or share personal information to third parties, including but not limited to:-
i. Insurance companies to process insurance claims;
ii. Financial institutions for the payment of financial rewards such as scholarships, loans, allowances and salaries;
iii. Any KKJ company or partner for any loan/scholarship offer or award, and for any learning-based activities;
iv. Authorized third parties;
v. Your guardian or legal representative or guarantor;
vi. Credit rating agency for credit reference for loan applications;
vii. Enforcement of regulatory agencies and government agencies or any court order to fulfill obligations to the authorities.
viii. Your data may be shared when required by the law and when service is necessary to comply with applicable law.
Retention of Personal Data
Any personal information will be stored by KKJ for the above purposes and as required by law and will be destroyed and/or deleted in accordance with KKJ’s policies when such information is no longer required.
Our Strict Privacy Policy
KKJ is committed and it is our priority to ensure the confidentiality, protection, security and accuracy of your personal information provided to us and it has been our strict ongoing policy to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, not misleading and up to date.
KKJ will also ensure that your personal data will not be used for political and commercial purposes. Subject to relevant law, sensitive personal data may only be disclosed with your consent.

Consent is Important
By submitting or providing your personal data to KKJ, you have consented and agreed for your personal data to be used in accordance with the terms and conditions in this Notice and our applicable policies.
Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at pdpakkj@kpypj.edu.my. If necessary, we may require further information or confirmation.
If you did not give your consent or subsequently withdraw your consent to the processing and transmission of your personal data, KKJ will not be able to fulfill KKJ’s responsibilities or contact you or assist you in connection with the above purposes and/or other purposes as stated above.
